PTA's Policies and Procedures Regarding COVID-19 Read More
Dear patients and families,
Our team at Pediatric Therapy Associates is honored that you have trusted us with providing therapy services to your child. We are committed to continuing to provide those services in the safest environment possible. We would like to update you on the precautions and procedures we are following as we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic together.
PTA is a wellness only clinic. If you, your child, or any member of your household is experiencing any symptoms of illness of any kind, has had a direct exposure to someone with COVID-19, or is undergoing testing for COVID-19, please cancel your in-office appointment and do not come in. If your child is feeling well enough, please inquire about the possibility of switching over to telemedicine for your child’s appointment or rescheduling the in-office appointment to a later date.
The staff at PTA are being held to the same wellness standards we are requiring for visitors to our clinics. They are responsible for monitoring their own health daily and reporting to the clinic only if they are 100% well. As we make decisions to err on the side of caution for the health and safety of everyone in the Pediatric Therapy Associates community, we ask for your understanding as we may have an occasional need to transition in person appointments to teletherapy and/or to reschedule your child’s session to another date.
At this time, we are limiting attendance to the patient only whenever possible. One parent/caregiver may accompany children under 2 and those for whom it is necessary. Siblings are not permitted in the clinic at this time. Our waiting room areas are currently CLOSED. When you arrive, please call the office to inform the administrative staff of your arrival and to render your copay. Your therapist will greet you outside and bring your child into the building for their appointment.
All adults and children over age 2 MUST wear a mask in our clinic unless therapeutically contraindicated for the child. If you do not have a mask for yourself or your child, one will be provided for you.
Your therapist will take your child’s temperature (as well as yours if you are accompanying them to therapy), and will direct and assist with appropriate hand washing before and after each therapy session.
All treatment materials and clinical spaces will be thoroughly sanitized between patients per CDC sanitation guidelines.
We look forward to continuing to provide our patients and their families with high-quality medical care. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at 919-781-4434.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Stephenson, MS CCC-SLP
