Social Groups
We are currently offering three social skills groups for children between the ages of 4 and 8. The goal of our groups is to increase functional social skills that children can use in everyday social settings. The groups focus on topics that include, but are not limited to functional communication skills, assertiveness, impulsiveness, manners, problem solving skills and persuasion skills. Activities are completed in a setting that is accepting and allows for imitation, role play, and positive reinforcement. Each session lasts for 75 minutes and will concentrate on a different skill. We encourage social interaction within the group setting as well as individual interactions between the children. The groups are limited in size and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
