Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists provide skilled treatment to help children achieve independence in all facets of their lives. They specialize in developing skills for the many “jobs” associated with life as a child. Occupational therapists have either a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in occupational therapy, they have passed a national board examination, and are licensed to provide services in North Carolina. Their education includes the study of human growth and development with specific emphasis on the social, emotional, and physiological effects of illness and injury. Specialized evaluation and treatment is provided in the following areas:
