Social Groups
We are currently offering social skills “Fun and Friends” groups for children between the ages of 4 and 10 in our Cary and Wake Forest offices. The goal of our groups is to increase functional social skills that children can use in everyday social settings. The groups focus on topics that include, but are not limited to, functional communication skills, assertiveness, impulsiveness, manners, and problem solving skills. Activities are completed in a setting that is accepting and allows for imitation, role play, and positive reinforcement. Each session lasts 60 or 75 minutes (depending on the group) and concentrates on a different skill. We encourage social interaction within the group setting as well as individual interactions between the children. The groups are limited in size and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

When: Monday afternoons from 4:30-5:30
For: Children between the ages of 4 and 6
When: Wednesday afternoons from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
