Music Therapy

Music therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship. At Pediatric Therapy Associates, music therapy is provided by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Music therapy creates opportunities that provide:

  • Socialization
  • Promotion of Communication
  • Building of turn-taking, sharing, and teamwork skills
  • Creation of positive relationships with peers and adults
  • Enhancement of motor skills
