Nina Polizzano, B.A., Developmental Therapist

Nina is a certified Infant Toddler Family Specialist.  She is trained in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). She uses music, sign language and playful activities to lovingly encourage communication while also having fun!  Nina earned her B.A. in Psychology and is a certified Special Education teacher. She was the main teacher in public preschool special needs classes for 3 years, and has worked in early intervention for 6 years. She has a total of 12 years experience working with families facing challenges including: autism, Down syndrome, fragile X syndrome, PDD, apraxia, prematurity, sensory integration, cerebral palsy, and behavioral challenges.

Nina prides herself on having the skills to trigger change in the way children relate to their environment. She and her husband, Steve, enjoy a blended family of 5 grown kids (2 girls and 3 boys).  Her hobbies include discovering treasures at estate sales, biking, dancing, and singing karaoke with friends.
