Meghan Costa, DPT

Meghan completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Xavier University in 2002.  She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Indiana University in 2006.  She has worked as the lead Physical Therapist at an outpatient pediatric clinic, The Children’s Theraplay Foundation, since obtaining her doctoral degree.  Meghan has experience evaluating and treating a wide variety of diagnoses including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, mitochondrial disorders, autism, hypotonia, and developmental delay.  She has extensive training and experience utilizing the tool of hippotherapy (equine-assisted movement) into her practice.  Meghan has also worked in early intervention with children in the natural environment (ages birth to three years).  She has pursued continuing education in the areas of gait training, orthoses, adaptive equipment, advanced hippotherapy treatment, and sensory integration.  Meghan is an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor.  She has also received a Level II Therapist certification from the American Hippotherapy Association. 

Meghan recently moved to Cary, NC from Indianapolis, IN with her husband and baby boy Nicholas.  She is very excited to be a part of the PTA team!
