Megan Bevington, MS, OTR/L

Megan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina Sate University in 2006. She first developed a passion for occupational therapy while working with children with special needs during her undergraduate studies. Megan received a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from East Carolina University in 2008. As a student at East Carolina, she had the opportunity to complete a clinical rotation at Pediatric Therapy Associates, where she extended her knowledge of pediatrics and enhanced her desire to work with children.  Her other clinical experiences have been in the public school system, inpatient rehabilitation, and at a skilled nursing facility. Megan began her career in sub-acute rehabilitation with geriatric patients, but always felt a strong inclination to return to pediatrics. Megan has experience working with children with a wide range of disorders including autism spectrum disorders, sensory integration dysfunction, cerebral palsy, fine motor delays, Down syndrome, and other developmental delays. She has been trained in the “Handwriting Without Tears” and “Therapeutic Listening” programs.

Megan is a newlywed who enjoys spending time with her husband and her dog. Her hobbies include hiking, camping, playing board games, watching movies, and attending sporting events. Megan provides therapy services in the Wake Forest office.
