Leah Shissias, MS, OTR/L

Leah received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006. Because she loved being a Tar Heel, she continued her education at UNC, and achieved a Masters of Occupational Therapy in 2008.  Leah’s clinical experience includes working with children with mental health issues, developmental delays, sensory processing difficulties, fine and gross motor problems, autism, and feeding difficulties.  She has been trained in Handwriting Without Tears and the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Feeding Approach.  She also has an interest in ergonomics. Leah’s experience includes inpatient hospital and outpatient clinic settings and she enjoys working with children of all ages. 

Her hobbies include watching movies, reading, spending time with friends, going to the beach when possible, and watching Carolina basketball.  Leah provides services in our Cary office.
