Krystal Henningsen, MS, OTR/L

Krystal earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Westmont College in sunny Santa Barbara, California. After graduating, she worked for two years as an occupational therapy aide in a pediatric sensory based clinic. Working alongside incredible OTs, she learned what it meant to be family and client centered. Under their guidance, she implemented services for children with autism spectrum disorders, Fragile X syndrome, Down syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome, and developmental delays. She received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008, and loved her time as a Tarheel! Krystal has clinical experience working within a university affiliated sensory integration research clinic for children with special needs in Torrance, California. She loves working with all children, but especially enjoys individuals with sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and social/emotional disorders. Krystal provides services at two of our contract sites as well as in our Raleigh and Wake Forest offices. 

Krystal is originally from Colorado and loves everything to do with the mountains. She is an avid snowboarder and loves being outside, regardless of the weather. Her main loves apart from her job are traveling, throwing pottery, and yes, shopping!
