Bonnie Essig, M.S., PT

Bonnie joins Pediatric Therapy Associates with 8 years experience in pediatric physical therapy.  She graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998.  Upon graduating, Bonnie worked for four years in a private school for handicapped children aged 5 to 21 years.  She gained extensive experience with adaptive seating equipment and coordinated weekly wheelchair and orthotic clinics.  During the next four years, she focused on providing early intervention services to families in their homes and clinic settings.  Bonnie has experience evaluating and treating children with prematurity, genetic syndromes, and other global gross motor delays.  She has taken many continuing education courses including NDT and Sensory Integration. 

In 2005, Bonnie relocated from New Jersey to North Carolina with her husband and 2 young children.  She currently provides therapy in the Wake Forest and North Raleigh areas.  Bonnie enjoys organizing her home, volunteering at her children’s school, attending kid activities and anything crafty.
