Amy Sarazen, M.S., CCC-SLP
Amy received her Bachelor of Arts from Meredith College, with a double major in Communications and Spanish, a concentration in Communication Disorders and a minor in Cross-Cultural Studies. She went on to obtain a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from East Carolina University in 2004. Upon graduating from ECU, Amy practiced speech-language pathology in Louisville, Kentucky before returning to her hometown of Raleigh, NC. She began working at Pediatric Therapy Associates in August 2005. Amy has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation for traumatic brain injury, skilled nursing facilities, preschools, daycares, home environment, as well as clinic. Amy is skilled in evaluating and treating a variety of diagnoses including articulation and phonology disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, oral-motor / feeding / swallowing disorders, fluency, autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, and apraxia of speech. She is trained to provide therapy using The Picture Exchange Communication System, otherwise known as PECS. She has also completed a variety of feeding workshops. Amy currently evaluates and treats speech and language disorders in Spanish for children aged birth to five.
Amy currently works in our Wake Forest and Raleigh offices. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, traveling to the beach, cooking, and taking walks with friends and family.
