Amanda Mizelle, M.S., CCC-SLP

Amanda Weatherspoon Mizelle received her bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 1990 from East Carolina University.  She continued on at ECU to complete her Master of Science degree in 1992. After graduation, Amanda moved to Wilmington, North Carolina where she worked until 1996 for Ballard and Associates, a private practice serving a variety of clients. Amanda and her husband, Randy had their first child, Tanner, in 1996 and moved to Holly Springs, NC.  At that time she began working for Shigley Family Services.  Some of Amanda’s experience and interests include pediatric dysphagia, articulation disorders,  Down syndrome, and high-functioning autism. While working at Shigley Family Services part time, Amanda also served elementary-aged children in Wake County Schools from 1997 to 1999.  She continued serving children in private practice until 2006, when she co-founded the Speech Therapy Center of Holly Springs. Now, Amanda enjoys working for Pediatric Therapy Associates in the Holly Springs office. She lives in Holly Springs as well, where she enjoys singing, going to church, gardening, exercising and spending time with friends and family.
