Questions Parents Frequently Ask About Reading

Several of our speech therapists, led by Diane Winner, MS CCC-SLP, specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of written language disorders, as well as design and implementation of an effective intervention program.  The therapists work closely with the child’s family and teachers to ensure carryover of skills to home and school environments.  Our reading specialists are trained to recognize the types of learning disabilities than often arise in children with a history of speech and language disorders.  Through the use of a primarily Orton-Gillingham based approach, we strive to target the particular difficulties each child is facing to help make them more successful and confident in their development of written language skills.
