Lauren B. Pardue

Lauren received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders with a minor in Early Childhood Development from Appalachian State University in 2009.  She went on to obtain a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from East Carolina University in 2011.  Lauren has worked exclusively in pediatrics in a variety of settings including: private practice, outpatient clinic, preschool, and home health. She has been a member of the PTA team since 2011.  Lauren has experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with articulation/phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, pragmatic/social language disorders, disfluency, and written language disorders.  In addition, she has worked with children with a variety of diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, genetic disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, cerebral palsy, and acquired cognitive communication deficits. Lauren has specialized training in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) and Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) for articulation therapy.  In addition, she has training in PECS (The Picture Exchange Communication System) as well as Visualizing and Verbalizing.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and traveling.  She lives in Apex with her husband, son, and Maltipoo, Winston.
