Emmie Culclasure, MSP, CF-SLP

Emmie received a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology with a Minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Carolina in 2016. She then decided to stay in Columbia, South Carolina to obtain a Master of Speech Pathology in 2018. Throughout her educational career, Emmie has had the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of settings including elementary schools, hospital outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, as well as the University’s own Speech and Hearing Research Center. This wide range of settings allowed Emmie the ability to evaluate and/or treat both adults and children with diverse communication disorders including fluency, articulation/phonology, literacy, aphasia, apraxia, dementia, swallowing/feeding and augmentative and alternative communication users resulting from the following diagnoses: autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and developmental delays, among others. Emmie has always enjoyed working with the pediatric population and is passionate about giving every child the gift of communication.

In her free time, Emmie enjoys exercising, cooking, spending time with family, and cheering on the Gamecocks!
