Cheryl E. Smith, M.S., CCC-SLP

Cheryl graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders and a Minor in Sociology. She then went to East Carolina University to obtain her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Cheryl has worked almost exclusively in pediatrics in a variety of settings including home health, schools, preschools, daycares, inpatient hospital, and outpatient clinics.  She began working at Pediatric Therapy Associates in June 2004.  Cheryl has expertise in the evaluation and treatment of children with a variety of diagnoses including autism, childhood apraxia of speech, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injury, developmental delay, specific language impairment, articulation/phonological disorders, cleft lip and palate, fluency disorders, and feeding/swallowing disorders.  In addition, she is credentialed as an Infant Toddler and Family Specialist.
