Sailor Stoneheart

Sailor graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has experience working with the birth to three population with a variety of diagnoses including: prematurity, Down syndrome, developmental delays, seizure disorders, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, children with visual impairment, fetal valproate syndrome, sensory processing disorders, kabuki syndrome, and behavioral concerns.  Sailor worked for the Early Intervention Program through Wake County Human Services, where she assisted in preparing families and staff for eligibility review. Sailor is credentialed as an Infant Toddler and Family Specialist.  She was also previously an assistant teacher at Pediatric Therapy Associates’ Early Steps Learning Preschool.  In addition, Sailor taught a social group for seven to nine year olds.  She has been trained by Gwen Wild in providing Sensory Diets for children from birth through adolescence.  Sailor has completed coursework through the University of West Florida in ABA.  She has also worked for many years as a nationally certified personal trainer (CI-CPT, NASM-CPT) and has extensive knowledge of movement and nutrition, including how diet can affect varying body conditions.  Sailor is the mother of a college aged daughter.
